Massy’s adult BMI guides exist to explain the calculation, its standard categories, and its limits in plain language. This page makes our process—and our own limits—visible.
Our scope
We cover general BMI education for adults aged 20 and older: formulas, category boundaries, unit conversions, known limitations, consistent measurement, privacy, and how Massy implements those ideas. We do not publish diagnoses, treatment plans, calorie prescriptions, or personal target weights.
How claims are sourced
Health and calculation claims are checked against primary public-health sources where available, including the CDC, NHS, NHLBI, WHO, and NICE. Citations appear beside the relevant paragraph and every article ends with a visible source list. Product and privacy claims are checked against Massy’s implementation and privacy policy.
Medical review
The current guides have not been medically reviewed by an independent clinician. We do not imply otherwise. Each guide treats BMI as a general screening reference, names important exclusions, and directs personal concerns to a qualified healthcare professional.
Updates and corrections
Each guide displays its publication date and, after a material revision, its update date. We revisit content when a cited authority changes its guidance or when Massy’s behaviour changes. Search rankings never override factual accuracy or product truth.
